Tau Kappa Epsilon is committed to instilling a sense of responsibility and contribution in all of our members and believes in the value of helping others. Each year, Tekes of all ages serve others in countless ways, by mentoring a child, caring for an elderly neighbor, teaching someone to read, or donating food and clothing to those who need them.
Since our founding in 1899, the Fraternity has called upon every member and every chapter to get involved in strengthening their communities and sharing compassion with those less fortunate. The Fraternity has called on each member to dedicate part of their lives to the service of others.
While Tau Kappa Epsilon cannot fulfill every need in our communities, through the power of the Fraternity has a whole, Tau Kappa Epsilon can support the momentum of thousands of acts of kindness and decency that are positively changing our society for the better, one act at a time. The Beta Sigma chapter has a few key events each year that help us to accomplish this goal.
TKE Beta Sigma believes in doing every task to the best of your ability, and this mainstay of our foundations has helped us accomplish unprecedented success in our philanthropic activities. In addition, all of TKE’s chapters hold a strong conviction towards healthy competition, which makes TKE overly successful on the service front.
